Metin Aksoy

Metin is a Managing Director of FW Cook with 20 years of experience advising organizations on executive compensation strategy and design.

Metin focuses on developing effective compensation systems to assist companies execute against their business strategies and accomplish their people and culture objectives. His work covers pay quantum and design, including tax, accounting, and securities law implications, as well as matters of corporate governance and investor relations. His primary audiences are Board Compensation Committees and C-suite executives, attending over 100 Committee or Board meetings annually.

Metin’s clients include large publicly traded companies across industries, as well as innovative, high-growth, earlier-stage organizations with PE or VC backing.

He serves as one of FW Cook’s transaction experts with deep involvement in IPO, M&A, and restructuring work.

In addition to his client work, Metin is active in critical firmwide leadership, including serving on the firm’s Talent & Culture Committee and leading FW Cook’s Branding & Marketing efforts.

He is a frequent speaker on executive and board of directors compensation, including guest lecture at Harvard Business School and speaking engagements with Corporate Board Member, the National Association of Corporate Directors, and PR Council. Recently, he spoke at the Financial Times Outstanding Directors Exchange. He co-authored an article in the January/February 2021 issue of the Harvard Business Review. He has served as an expert witness on executive compensation in litigation.
