Proposed ISS Benchmark Policy Changes for 2026

On October 30, ISS released proposed 2026 benchmark policy updates for public comment. The following table summarizes proposed compensation-related changes to ISS’s U.S. policies for 2026:

The full Proposed ISS Benchmark Policy Changes for 2026 document can be found here. The comment period is open until 5:00 p.m. ET on November 11, 2025. Comments received will be considered by ISS as it finalizes the policy changes for shareholder meetings taking place on or after Feb 1, 2026. Comments can be submitted via email to [email protected] with the submitter’s name and organization. ISS is expected to finalize and release its 2026 benchmark policy updates during the second half of November 2025.
